Click "Read More" to get started on Day 2's term, Splice.
A Splice is an architectural railing section that is too long to be shipped as one piece. Due to their length, they are cut, shipped in multiple sections, and connected in the field using internal splice sleeves (or clips) and rivets. Once a field splice is completed, only a hairline joint is visible. Tools required for splicing are a drill and a rivet gun.
